Rarity

In Valley of Heroes, there are 5 rarity levels that determine a hero's initial Attack power and upgrade growth rate.

🎯 Rarity Impact

Rarity plays a crucial role in hero development, affecting:

  1. Initial Attack Power at Level 1
  2. Upgrade Growth Rate (Attack increase per level)
  3. Visual Rarity Color (displayed on hero card)

πŸ“š Quick References

  • Rarity Basics holds the full drop table, level‑1 attack ranges, and growth multipliers.
  • Hero Strategy Notes explains how to prioritize upgrades by rarity.

πŸ” Sample Calculations

The contract multiplies by the rarity multiplier (e.g. 10β€―400) and then divides by 10β€―000, truncating to an integer.

Common Hero (Level 1, 1,500 Attack):

  • Level 1 β†’ 2: (1,500 Γ— 10,400) / 10,000 = 1,560.0 β†’ 1,560 Attack
  • Level 2 β†’ 3: (1,560 Γ— 10,400) / 10,000 = 1,622.4 β†’ 1,622 Attack

Legendary Hero (Level 1, 8,500 Attack):

  • Level 1 β†’ 2: (8,500 Γ— 11,400) / 10,000 = 9,690.0 β†’ 9,690 Attack
  • Level 2 β†’ 3: (9,690 Γ— 11,400) / 10,000 = 11,047.0 β†’ 11,047 Attack

πŸ’‘ Strategic Considerations

Investment Priority

  1. Legendary/Mythic: Highest priority - best growth rates
  2. Epic: Good balance of rarity and growth
  3. Rare: Decent for early game
  4. Common: Use for initial valley deployments

Upgrade Strategy

  • Prioritize high-rarity heroes when spending HONOR.
  • Lower rarities are ideal HONOR farmers early on; invest once you have surplus.
  • Every hero can reach level 30.

🎨 Visual Identification

Each rarity has a distinct color:

  • Common: Gray border and text
  • Rare: Blue border and text
  • Epic: Purple border and text
  • Mythic: Pink border and text
  • Legendary: Gold border and text (most prestigious)

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Rarity is permanently assigned when hero is minted
  • Rarity cannot be changed after minting
  • All rarities are viable for gameplay
  • Higher rarity = better, but not required to play
